"The meaning of life is to find your gift, the purpose of it is to give it away"

Christina Yannetsos, born in North Miami Beach, Florida. She graduated High School From Dr. Michael M. Krop High School. Practicing judo since the age of 5, she grew up on the mats. Judo enabled her to travel all over the world representing United States of America in World, Pan American Championships and Games, and finally 2004 Olympics as an Olympic Alternate. Her judo journey took her to live and train at the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center where she attended the University of Colorado and majored in Pre-Med/ Biology with a minor in Psychology. It was after a shoulder injury at Olympic Trials that she applied early decision at Medical College of Wisconsin, with the hopes of one day supporting Team USA again. It was here that she learned not only medicine, but how to be a compassionate physician and advocate on behalf of her patients. Her research in concussion in the sport of judo helped USA judo adopt the "HEADS UP" program for coaching and referee awareness. She now travels with USA Judo as Team Physician, and was named to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan as a Team USA physician.
